| I started running in january of 2004 to get in shape. I had gained too much weight and felt terrible. I was able to run my first 5K 3 months later. I have continued to push for greater goals and have run 3 marathons and I am training for a 4th now. |

Well here I go again, on Sunday I will be running the 2005 Boulder Backroads Marathon. I have been training now for about 15 weeks. I feel confident that this one will go well. Even though I did not do well with my long 20 mile run I do feel that this run will go well. The weather is predicted to be perfect for running, highs in the mid-60's and cloudy. I have started a new training routine that will bring me deeper into my training that I have ever been. More emphasis will be placed on nutrition, cross training, stretching and longer runs. So after this marathon - I will be blogging on how this new program prepares me for the Las Vegas and next year the Salt Lake Marathons. |
